An update for Monsterizer, my D&D 4th Edition and Gamma World monster and NPC making program!
This update includes:
Added importing powers and auras from other creatures
Added 'Text Sections' (bringing Monsterizer up-to-speed with Asmor's Monster Maker in features) to allow you to add tactics, images, or other blocks of text to supplement the statblock.
Over the last couple of weeks, I've been testing out a program I wrote, which I call NETPad (Because it's written in .NET. Clever, huh?), which is intended to be a lightweight text editor that facilitates dockable windows, syntax highlighting, and integrated FTP support.
It's in a fairly stable state, with only a couple of bugs to iron out, and the download is available here

This really has been overdue for some time, now. The site is undergoing a complete rewrite -- any images, downloads, or other resources which might be linked from other web sites should still work and be in the same location.
Why a rewrite, you ask? Several reasons. Firstly, the design of the previous incarnation of this site wasn't particularly great. There wasn't a great deal of contrast between the content and design of the pages -- the background was black, content boxes had a dark gray background, and the text was a gray color. Not very professional.
Additionally, I've been brushing up my skills in areas other than classic ASP. You may have noticed that the site is now written in PHP. I've long had a love-hate relationship with PHP -- notably, I've always been drastically more familiar with VB (and, by extension ASP), even moving into the .NET era we're in now. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of call for professional ASP developers, and a large number of web hosts do not offer ASP in their packages. So, for the sake of portability and to help make my next point, we're going PHP.
Direction. I registered Blackspork.com in September of 2002, making it just over 9 years old as of this writing. It started out as an excuse to have the domain name, but with no intention of having, say, an informative web site about sporks of a darker-than-average hue. Since then, the site has basically served as a repository of images, little web apps I've written for myself, and a general dumping ground of my own things, with no real driving direction behind its design or content. The site will still serve as a repository for all things 'Sam.' However, it will be a testament to my programming and web design work, rather than just a host for random projects of mine.
Buzzwords. Everybody loves buzzwords. As mentioned previously, I've been brushing up on PHP. I've also come to familiarize myself with jQuery in its amazing simplicity. As such, the site is designed with jQuery, CSS3, and HTML5 in mind. In fact, my initial layout template validates as HTML5 and the only errors the CSS3 validation gives are a handful of vendor-specific CSS extensions (-moz-border-radius, for instance) that aren't part of the standard, but I have included to ensure a wider range of compatibility.
So, enjoy! Please peruse the site at your heart's content, and check out the projects and portfolio pages.

Another new small project! LOLrus, a wrapper for the CraftBukkit Minecraft server, mainly to facilitate minimizing the server to system tray, rather than taking up space in the task bar.
